Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using classiclooks.co.uk, our search tools, and membership features. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
By using classiclooks.co.uk (the “Website”) and related services (the “Service”), you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) in addition to our Terms & Conditions, Subscription Terms (if applicable), and Privacy Policy.
1 Purpose
Classic Looks provides a platform to search and compare classic and specialist vehicle listings from third-party sources. This AUP helps keep the Service secure, reliable, and fair for all members and visitors.
If this AUP conflicts with our Terms & Conditions, the Terms prevail unless we state otherwise in writing.
2 Who this applies to
This policy applies to anyone who:
- visits or browses the Website;
- creates a free or paid membership account;
- uses our search embed, filters, or member-only tools; or
- contacts us through the Website or linked support channels.
3 Permitted use
You may use the Service for lawful, personal purposes such as:
- researching classic and specialist vehicles for personal interest or purchase;
- comparing listings across supported third-party sites;
- saving preferences and using membership features within your plan limits; and
- following links to source websites to view listings, place bids, or contact sellers in accordance with those sites’ own rules.
Commercial use (for example operating as a dealer, broker, or data reseller) requires our prior written consent unless explicitly allowed by your subscription plan.
4 Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Service to do any of the following:
Security and system integrity
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, servers, APIs, or admin areas;
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code;
- overload or disrupt the Service (including denial-of-service attacks); or
- bypass rate limits, paywalls, membership gates, or access controls.
Automated access and scraping
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically download content, listings, or data from the Website;
- use bots, scripts, or automated tools to query the Service except via documented APIs we expressly authorise;
- mirror, frame, or republish substantial parts of the Website without permission; or
- build a competing database or service using our aggregated data or presentation.
Misuse of listings and third parties
- misrepresent listing information as your own or alter it to mislead others;
- harass sellers, auction houses, or other users via information obtained through the Service;
- use the Service for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal transactions; or
- violate the terms of third-party websites you reach through our links.
General unlawful or harmful behaviour
- break any applicable law or regulation (UK or otherwise);
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of Classic Looks or third parties;
- impersonate any person or entity, or create accounts with false details;
- share login credentials or sell, transfer, or share membership access without authorisation; or
- post or transmit abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material through any interactive feature we provide.
5 Accounts and membership access
If you have an account, you must:
- keep your login details secure and not share them with others;
- use the Service only within the limits of your membership tier;
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access; and
- not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, bans, or subscription limits.
We may monitor usage patterns to detect abuse. Unusual activity (for example extremely high query volumes or concurrent sessions) may trigger temporary limits or account review.
6 Search tools and aggregated data
Listing data displayed on Classic Looks is sourced from third parties and provided for your convenience. You must not:
- extract bulk datasets from search results for commercial redistribution;
- remove attribution, source links, or trademark notices where shown;
- cache or republish images or descriptions at scale outside normal personal use; or
- interfere with how we retrieve or display data from partner sites.
Reasonable personal saving of searches or bookmarks through features we provide is permitted. Anything beyond that requires our written agreement.
7 User content and communications
If you submit content to us (for example support messages, feedback, survey responses, or forum posts if we offer them), you must ensure it is accurate and lawful. You must not submit content that:
- contains personal data of others without a lawful basis;
- is spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotion (unless we invite it); or
- violates any part of section 4 above.
We may remove content or restrict communications that breach this AUP, without notice where urgent.
8 Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is misusing the Service, or you notice a security issue, please contact us at info@ClassicLooks.co.uk with as much detail as possible (URLs, timestamps, account email if relevant).
Please do not attempt to exploit vulnerabilities beyond what is needed to demonstrate the issue responsibly. We appreciate coordinated disclosure and will work with researchers acting in good faith.
9 Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- issue a warning;
- impose temporary or permanent rate limits;
- suspend or terminate your account or membership (without refund where permitted by law);
- block IP addresses or devices associated with abuse;
- remove content; and/or
- report activity to law enforcement or third parties where required or appropriate.
We choose enforcement measures at our discretion, considering severity, history, and legal obligations. You remain responsible for any losses we suffer due to your breach, where recoverable under our Terms & Conditions.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be notified by email or through the Website where appropriate.
