Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how to cancel a Classic Looks membership and when refunds may be available. It applies to subscriptions purchased through classiclooks.co.uk only.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy should be read with our Subscription Terms, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy.
1 Scope
This policy covers:
- free Classic Looks membership accounts;
- paid membership subscriptions purchased on classiclooks.co.uk; and
- one-off membership fees or upgrades processed by us.
This policy does not cover:
- vehicles, lots, or services bought from third-party auction houses, dealers, or classified sites linked from our search results;
- fees charged by payment providers or banks; or
- disputes with sellers on external websites — contact those parties directly.
2 Cancelling your membership
Free membership
You may stop using a free account at any time. You may also request account closure by emailing info@ClassicLooks.co.uk from the address registered on your account.
Paid membership
You can cancel a paid subscription by:
- using the cancellation option in your account settings (where available); or
- emailing info@ClassicLooks.co.uk with the subject line “Cancel subscription”, including the email address on your account.
Cancellation takes effect for future billing. It does not automatically delete your account unless you also request closure.
Important: Closing your browser or no longer visiting the site does not cancel a recurring subscription. You must cancel using the methods above to stop renewal charges.
3 What happens after cancellation
| Situation | What you can expect |
|---|---|
| You cancel before the next renewal date | No further subscription charges. Paid features usually remain available until the end of the billing period already paid for. |
| Your subscription is monthly | Access continues until the end of the current month (or the period shown in your account). |
| Your subscription is annual | Access continues until the end of the current 12-month term unless a refund is agreed under section 5. |
| We cancel your account for breach of our terms | Access may end immediately. Refunds are not guaranteed and are assessed case by case. |
4 14-day cooling-off period (UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting the day after you subscribe.
Immediate access to digital membership: If, at checkout, you request immediate access to paid digital features and acknowledge that you may lose your cancellation right once supply begins, your right to cancel may end when you first use those features — as permitted by law.
To exercise cooling-off rights (where they still apply), email info@ClassicLooks.co.uk within 14 days of subscribing, clearly stating that you wish to cancel under the cooling-off rules.
5 When refunds are given
We will issue a refund where:
- you validly cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period and have not lost that right (see section 4);
- we charged you in error or duplicated a payment;
- we cancelled your subscription due to a prolonged fault on our side and you received little or no usable service;
- we agree a goodwill refund in writing; or
- a refund is required by UK consumer law (for example for faulty digital content under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Partial refunds
Except where the law requires a full refund, we generally do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused time in a billing period after cooling-off has expired. If we agree an exceptional partial refund, it will be calculated fairly based on the circumstances.
6 When refunds are not given
Refunds are normally not available if:
- you cancel after the cooling-off period and have already received the paid service for the current billing cycle;
- you agreed to immediate digital delivery and used premium features, where the law allows us to charge for the proportion supplied;
- your account was suspended or terminated because you breached our Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, or Subscription Terms;
- you changed your mind after substantial use of paid features during the billing period; or
- you purchased through a third-party platform whose refund rules apply instead.
7 How refunds are paid
If a refund is approved:
- we will process it to the original payment method where possible;
- refunds are normally issued within 14 days of us confirming approval (or within any shorter period required by law);
- your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the credit on your statement; and
- we will email you when the refund has been initiated.
If the original payment method is no longer available, contact us so we can agree an alternative where feasible.
8 Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first at info@ClassicLooks.co.uk so we can try to resolve it quickly.
If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank without contacting us, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated and provide evidence of the service supplied to the payment provider.
9 Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. If our digital membership is not as described, not of satisfactory quality, or not fit for purpose, you may have remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
